We are a group of mothers with babies and toddlers who enjoy reading just about anything. We operate like a standard book club, but we bring our babies, toddlers and kiddies to our meetings with us. We all do! We read books, but we also read articles, listen to books on tape, etc. Mothers with babies or toddlers are welcome to come to meetings with your infants. What a convenient way to both care for your child (nurse them too if you like!) and talk about grown-up books at the same time! Our m …
Do you love non-fiction books? Me too! Let's get together to discuss the latest non-fiction books, what we've learned from them, and how we can apply the learning into our lives. Your opinion matters, share it!
This group will help you meet your writing goals by holding you accountable for your work. Set realistic weekly goals for yourself and then bring copies for everyone to read on a weekly basis. If you're uncomfortable sharing your writing, you can still contribute your opinions/perspectives/superb grammatical skills to the group. We are looking to establish a regular, dedicated group so that we can perhaps start a writing project together or plan an editing retreat for our completed works! We mee …
The objective of the Hamilton Non-Fiction Book Club is to promote intelligent, friendly discussion about various non-fiction topics. We’re not reviewing the literary merit of the books, we’re debating the merit of the author’s position on the subject.

Tired of travelling to Toronto Lesbian Meet-ups? I'm not- because I never go! I would like to create a positive, inclusive space for Lesbians and their Allies in the town where I live. I would like to create or find a community of Barrie area lesbians interested in friendships, support, perhaps mild activism - and non-sporting social activities. My ideal troupe of women include kind, positive, curious, thoughtful, accepting, inclusive, aware, engaged people who like to relax once in a while by h …

The goal is to offer constructive review of writing samples and help one another perfect their manuscript, short story, novel, non-fiction piece, etc. In addition to critiques and reviews, we will explore other areas of writing such as writing book proposals, finding literary agents, writing a magazine or newspaper query, etc. If you …
